Story
On the eve of their world tour, rock band 'Bad Math' hosts an epic party at their guitarist Eddie Mesmer's house, orchestrated by their lead singer Chas Knopfler. The next morning, Eddie awakens to find his drummer Toss Dunbar hanging from a tree and the house in shambles. Panicked, they realize they have no memory of the previous night's events and discover a dead body floating in the pool. Desperate to prevent their rock 'n' roll dream from ending, they use 'State Dependent Learning' – recalling information learned under the influence by re-imbibing – to piece together what happened during their booze-soaked blackout.
Summary
'Blackout' is a raunchy comedy that follows the antics of 'Bad Math', a struggling rock band on the brink of stardom. Directed by Matt Hish, the film explores themes of friendship, ambition, and the price of fame through the lens of a wild night gone wrong. Centered around a house party filled with debauchery – including drug use, sex, and bodily fluids galore – 'Blackout' is an explicit and often absurd take on the teen sex comedy genre. As Eddie and Toss attempt to solve the mystery of their blackout-induced crimes, they confront their own recklessness and learn valuable lessons about responsibility and consequences.
