Story
The vows of an ambitious young American priest are tested during World War II. Not only does Father John Flaherty get involved with the black market to raise money for the Vatican, he also falls in love with a young French nun.
Summary
In wartime Vatican City, 1944, Father John Flaherty finds his path tested. After proving himself on Italian battlefields, he's assigned treasurer, navigating the cash-strapped Vatican's finances. Enter Sergeant Varese and Don Appolini: black market deals fuel Flaherty's operations, but ensnare him in a web of corruption. Cardinal Santoni, his mentor, shields him to climb church ranks against rival Cardinal Vinci. Meanwhile, love blooms with Clara, a French nun privy to Flaherty's illicit dealings, unaware of his true clerical identity.
