Story
In the medieval village of Daggerhorn, surrounded by a dark forest plagued by a werewolf, lives Valerie (Amanda Seyfried). She is in love with Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), an outsider and woodcutter's apprentice, but her parents have arranged for her to marry Henry (Max Irons), the wealthy baker's son. When Valerie's older sister Henrietta is killed by the werewolf, panic sweeps through the village. The people call upon Father Solomon (Gary Oldman), a renowned werewolf hunter, to help them kill the beast. Under a blood-red moon, Solomon arrives and warns that the wolf could be any one of them, taking human form by day. As the deaths continue, Valerie starts having visions of her sister in the woods and feels inexplicably drawn to the forest at night. She discovers that she shares a unique connection with the werewolf, making her both suspect and bait for the creature. Meanwhile, Peter returns from his exile, intensifying the love triangle between him, Valerie, and Henry. As they uncover secrets about their village and its inhabitants, Valerie must confront the terrifying truth about herself and the werewolf before it's too late.
