Full Biography
Sophie Desmarais stars as an adolescent streetwalker named 'La Poune' in the 2011 French-Canadian film 'Décharge'. The movie, set in Montreal and directed by François Bouvier, follows her character's troubled life on the streets, struggling with drug dependency. Desmarais' performance is notable despite the film being dialogue-heavy in Quebecois, which might limit its accessibility to non-Quebec French speakers without subtitles.

Summary
Gurov and Anna (2014) is a Canadian drama directed by Rafaël Ouellet. The film explores themes of infidelity, obsession, and the complexities of age-gap relationships through its portrayal of Ben, a middle-aged literature professor, and Mercedes, his young student with whom he enters into an affair. Set in Montreal, the story draws parallels with Chekhov's 'Lady with the Little Dog', reflecting on how extramarital affairs can evolve from mere physical attraction into deep emotional connections.
