Janina was born in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from University of Texas and has a clinical degree and Doctor of Education in Human Sexuality from The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. She is also a producer, actor, writer, published author and was a syndicated radio host for 15 years.
