Simone Taylor is an Australian actress who gained recognition in the mid-1980s for her work in film and television. She is best known for her role as Sharon in the 1985 neo-noir crime thriller The Empty Beach, where she starred alongside Bryan Brown. The film, set against the backdrop of Sydney’s Bondi Beach, remains a notable entry in Australian cinema of that era.
In addition to her film work, Taylor established a presence in television. She appeared in the 1985 biographical miniseries Shout! The Story of Johnny O'Keefe, portraying the character Dixie. Her career continued through the late 1980s with roles in television movies such as Rock n' Roll Cowboys (1988), where she played Glutzman's Woman, and the sci-fi production Future Past (1989). While her screen career was relatively brief, her contributions to these cult Australian productions have maintained her place in the country's cinematic history.
