Full Biography

Spencer Scott is Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Unity Players Ensemble Theatre Company. He has also been a lecturer, vocalist and writer with experience in print and broadcast journalism. He has been a recurring guest host of "Beneath The Surface", an evening-drive radio talk show and "The Morning Show", a morning drive radio talk show on 90.7FM in Los Angeles. His professional credits include national commercials, films, a Movie of the Week (NBC), guest appearances on Martin and a TV series pilot, Real Ghost Stories. His stage credits are too numerous to list here. He, as well as his theatre company, have received widespread critical acclaim. Mr. Scott received a BA in Political Science from the University of Southern California in 1987. He has written four plays and a musical, produced and/or directed numerous plays for the professional theatre and is a veteran actor as well. He was classically trained at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, Mark Twain Institute in Clayton, Missouri, Performing Arts Academy (with honors) in St. Louis, Missouri, and Occidental College in Glendale, California. He has been professionally trained in various theater communities nationwide, including UMOJA, UTE, St. Louis Black Repertory Co., and The Muny Theatre Project. In February 2004 he received the Living History Makers award, recognizing his ongoing contributions in Arts & Entertainment in Southern California.
