Full Biography

Born on August 24, 1947, in The Bronx, New York City, Raven De La Croix was originally named Lynn Christie Martin (some sources also cite Lynn Christie Anna De La Croix). Raised in a large family as the oldest of eight children, she possesses a rich heritage of Comanche and French descent. Before her rise to fame, she led a diverse professional life, working as a licensed nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and even giving educational talks in prisons.

Her career took a dramatic turn when she was discovered by a talent scout for Eddie Foy Jr. at a Hollywood restaurant, which led to her iconic meeting with director Russ Meyer. This encounter secured her the lead role in the 1976 cult classic Up!, where she not only acted but also performed her own stunts and designed her own costumes. Beyond her collaboration with Meyer, she appeared in films like The Lost Empire (1984) and John Landis's The Blues Brothers (1980). Outside of the film industry, she has worked as a producer, stripper, writer, and psychic.
